Welcome

A very warm welcome to The Ridgeway Church of England Primary School.

I feel very proud to be the Headteacher of this happy school set in the stunning location of the Ridgeway. We feel very fortunate to have all this green space on our doorstep and to have the privilege of having a forest school space on our site.  

Our school is best described as a nurturing school which is full of joy. Our children are rightly proud of their school and enjoy sharing their learning, sports achievements, drama performances and their day-to-day life with our families and visitors.

Our passionate staff care deeply about all our children and are tireless in ensuring that our children reach their full potential. Our staff encourage our children to be curious, to develop a lifelong love of learning, to be outward looking and to have high aspirations for themselves and others.  

Our vision of ‘Building for Life’ permeates everything we do recognising the importance of developing not only children who have a love for learning but who are active members of their community. We actively want our children to develop into citizens who look beyond the school gate and who are passionate, active members of their community.

We’re fortunate to have a strong relationship with our families, our local community,  St Mary’s church, the local parish and the wider community. We actively recognise that school plays only one part in the development of our children and working with our partners further strengthens everything we do.
